We are (re)participating in the Lépine competition
In a week, we will be at our stand at the Lépine competition 😯
We are presenting DUOH!, our portable nursing pillow. A pillow that offers a completely new approach (which allowed us to file a patent and enter the competition).
Looking back at our 2019 medal
Remember, we already participated in the Lépine competition with our Isidor car cushion! Cleverly designed for car passengers, Isidor comfortably supports the head during short or long journeys. Attached in 1 click to the headrest, it positions itself between your face and the window. It absorbs jolts and prevents stiff necks! It's an innovative invention that allowed us to win a gold medal in the competition! 🥇 This is a prestigious recognition for Isidor, confirming its practicality, quality, and innovative appearance.
DUOH! The nursing pillow
This year, our DUOH! nursing pillow will be in the competition! In a few days, we'll be presenting this new pillow to the jury. We'll explain that it was born from a request from customers who already appreciate our other pillows. That we established the specifications with a pediatric nurse specializing in breastfeeding. That we worked for 9 months (!) of research and development. That it helps prevent bodily tension for adults and provides a comfortable alcove for babies.
We'll also point out that it can be used for both breastfeeding and bottle feeding, without the need for a backrest or armrest. And it fits easily under the stroller. We shouldn't forget to mention that it's entirely made in our workshop.
And whatever the result of the competition, we will always be just as moved to see a baby comfortably settled in our cushion or a mother relieved to no longer have sore arms. 😊
The Lépine Competition, a history of inventions
Created in 1901 by Police Prefect Louis Lépine, the Concours Lépine was born in a rapidly changing Paris. At the time, small toy and novelty manufacturers were struggling to compete with foreign industrial production. To support this endangered local craft, Louis Lépine devised an invention competition open to creators from all walks of life. Exhibited at the Grand Palais, the event was an immediate success. The competition quickly expanded to include all sorts of ingenious objects, becoming a veritable springboard for everyday inventors.
